Overview
Understand the resources, execution records and evidence you will use in Semogram
Semogram connects existing records, gives them a shared business meaning and uses them to answer questions, run data pipelines and produce predictions. These introductions explain how the pieces fit before you configure them. The detailed sections contain the complete setup and reference guides.
Learn the concepts in order
| Concept | What it explains | Read next |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | Who can access shared resources and project work | Workspaces and projects |
| Data | How a plugin installation and endpoint select accessible data | Plugins and data endpoints |
| Execution | How a saved graph becomes a separate run | Data pipelines |
| Meaning | Definitions, bindings, facts, assertions and queries | Ontology |
| Evidence | What produced an answer and what remains unverified | Runs and evidence |
| Prediction | A future answer and the observation that evaluates it | Predictions and outcomes |
| Judgment | Approvals, corrections and outcome records | Review and feedback |
| Guidance | Reusable instructions consumed by supported workflows | Skills and guidance |
One connected example
A maintenance team works in a workspace with a Postgres plugin installation. A data endpoint selects its equipment table. A project defines Equipment and binds its properties to that endpoint. A published query returns relevant measurements for pump P-101.
A pipeline can transform those records or persist mapped facts. A forecaster can use the published query to predict failure risk for P-101 over seven days. Each execution has its own record. A later incident observation is recorded as an evaluation, separate from the prediction itself.
The installation supplies connectivity; the endpoint chooses the target; the project supplies model and execution context. Saving any one of these does not automatically perform the others.
Return to your first task
Start with workspace setup, then create a data endpoint. Choose a known result you can verify before expanding the setup. If an assistant is doing the work, give it the assistant guide.
