Custom plugin scenarios

A custom endpoint exposes a target through your own installed connector implementation. It can perform only the reads or writes that implementation supports. The scenarios below explain package requirements, installation, target settings and verification on the same page.

Custom endpoints use the same workspace resource and creation flow as internal connectors. The custom plugin supplies the runtime and target contracts; the endpoint selects one installed capability and a concrete target.

Build and publish the plugin using custom plugin creation. These scenarios do not introduce a different package format or assume every custom connector supports discovery, queries or writes.
