Transforms
Install Transforms, configure its capabilities and verify a bounded operation.
The @craven/transforms bundle supplies 20 transformation capabilities for pipeline nodes. It includes field and row operations as well as AI-based classification, extraction, semantic mapping, repair and entity-resolution proposals.
Install
You need a Semogram account with workspace access and plugin-management permission.
- Open Plugins → Explore and find Craven Transforms.
- Inspect the required capability, its parameter contract and lineage mode.
- Install the bundle and enable the capability needed by your pipeline.
- Open Pipeline Studio and choose that installed capability for a transform node.
The bundled installation configuration is empty; business parameters belong on the node. AI transforms additionally depend on the deployment’s configured model runtime. Installing the bundle does not configure model credentials.
Make your first read
Connect a small input endpoint to a transform node and an inspectable output. Supply the capability’s required parameters, validate the graph and run it. Compare the result with a known input before increasing the size.
Choose a transformation for the exact parameter and binding contract.
Manage the connection
Review input/output bindings and lineage when changing a node. Row-preserving transforms keep one output row for each input row in the same order; filters, joins and aggregates require explicit lineage. AI outputs require review appropriate to the operation.
FAQ
Which transformations use AI?
Classification, extract-structured-data, semantic-map, data-quality-repair and entity-resolution are declared agentic. The other bundled operations use their declared deterministic implementations.
Does entity resolution create canonical identities?
This transform proposes provisional clusters. Persistent registry reconciliation is a separate operation; do not treat its cluster labels as canonical entity IDs.
Can I run a capability with unsupported runtime status?
Preflight blocks capabilities marked runtimeSupported: false. Inspect the installed manifest and validation result before execution.
