Ontology is the durable structure predictions read. Operate it as three separate layers and most problems locate themselves.
Your job
- Definition (Ontology app): entity types, relationships, identifiers, constraints. Versioned like code — model changes are reviewable decisions.
- Build logic (Pipeline Studio): mapping, normalization, identity resolution, upsert behavior inside plans. This is the recipe, and it is where most fixes land.
- Runtime (browser surface): materialized entities, relationships, provenance, freshness. Inspect here; never hand-edit — corrections go through definition, mapping, or source data, then rerun.
- Watch rerun behavior: enriching state means identity and upsert rules work; duplicating state means they don't.
